Nuba Water Project
Nuba Water Project is a humanitarian organization working in Sudan, an
East African country racked by decades of civil war. Founded by two
Sudanese refugees now living in the United States and a Denver
businessman, Nuba Water Project is bringing water and life to the people
of Sudan. The Project raises funds to construct water infrastructure such
as wells and irrigation systems that are in desperately short supply
throughout Sudan, especially in the Nuba Mountains. By bringing water and
food security to the people of the Nuba Mountains, the Project is helping
establish the
foundation for future development in this war torn region. The Project
also works on capacity building in another realm - housing. Because of the
destruction of most infrastructure in the region, and the influx of
thousands of returnees displaced by civil war, housing is in critically
short supply. Nuba Water Project uses a unique construction technique
known as roofs first construction allowing rapid deployment of inexpensive,
simple, and durable homes. Nuba Water Project is a 501c3 charitable
organization. Donations are tax deductible and may be made by visiting our
